TAOYUAN, Taiwan - According to a rumour now proven fake, smartphone manufacturer HTC, one of Microsoft's biggest partners in this sector of the industry, was not to stand behind South Korean phone maker LG, and was planning to bring to market a high-end Windows Phone 7 smartphone called HTC HD3.
HTC's HD series is composed of the most advanced smartphones in the market, and it is a known branding to smartphone enthusiasts. The HD3 would surely become a hyped handset before launch, and attract many of those seeking the best of the best.
If the leak was authentic, the upcoming device would feature a 4.5" AMOLED touchscreen display with 1280x800 pixels in resolution (HD), an 8 megapixel camera with support for HD video recording, 1GB RAM, 4G connectivity, microSD memory card, and a 1800mAh battery. Basically, better than anything currently in the market.
